After

A full-arch rehabilitation of the lower jaw for a patient who was unhappy with his complete lower denture. Instead of a removable solution, we planned a permanent, fixed restoration: six implants and a single monolithic-zirconia bridge on a titanium framework. The whole treatment was carried out digitally, with guided surgery — and the patient had teeth at every stage, from beginning to end.

The starting point

The patient wore a complete denture in the lower jaw. In the lower jaw, though, complete dentures rarely hold well: the movement of the tongue and lips dislodges them, and the ridge often does not have enough height or volume to keep them stable. The result is a denture that shifts during chewing and speech — a very common and tiring problem.

Digital planning and guided surgery

The answer was implants. Using in-house CBCT and an intraoral scan, we planned the entire restoration digitally in smop software — from the position of each implant to the final shape of the teeth. A surgical guide was made from that plan, so that the six MegaGen AnyRidge implants could be placed precisely, in the ideal position and angle.

A temporary throughout healing

From the very start the patient had a temporary restoration: he was never left without teeth. The implants were left to integrate with the bone for a few months, with the patient wearing fixed temporary teeth throughout healing.

The final, permanent bridge

Once healing was complete, we scanned the lower jaw again with an intraoral scanner and made the definitive restoration: a single, fixed full-arch bridge of monolithic zirconia over a titanium framework. It is an upgraded, premium option and, at the same time, the restoration of choice when rebuilding a whole arch over this many implants: the titanium framework gives the structure strength and longevity, while the monolithic zirconia — a biocompatible material that is highly resistant to wear — provides the natural, aesthetic result. The entire workflow, from design to manufacture, was digital.

The result

The patient now has stable, fixed teeth in the lower jaw — without the movement and instability of a denture. Chewing, speech and confidence are back, with a restoration built to last.

Every case is different. These photographs are published anonymously and with the patient’s consent, and results vary from case to case.
